Hi, I’m Jeff…. I started working and training pet dogs in 2010, a year after I was introduced to the dog sport of PSA (Protection Sports Association). Since that time, I have been training pet dogs with a wide variety of needs, and competing with my own dogs in PSA. I have decoyed at Regional and National level events and also competed with my own dogs at that level. I own 3 crazy Belgian Malinois that keep me on my toes. Murphy, Silas, and Bucky. Murphy, I have titled in PSA (Dog Sport) placing 3rd at PSA Nationals in 2019, and closing out his PSA2 in 2021.. In 2022 Murphy was South Regional Vice Champion for PSA3. Silas has French Ring titles (earned before I had him), and a PDC earned while he’s been with me. Bucky is still in training and will be hitting the trial field 2023. Beside training my own dogs for sport, I am also training director for Sandhills PSA Club.
Now let’s talk Cornerstone K9. Training dogs has always been a passion of mine, it just always puts a smile on my face. I can say I am the luckiest person alive, training dogs have never felt like work. I love seeing dogs learn and accomplish new behaviors, and their owners coming along with them on that journey. Cornerstone K9 has been around for me for some time now, and made official in 2021. Myself and my trainers are dedicated to you and your pup. We pride ourselves on returning a well trained pup back to you. And making sure you are very informed throughout the whole training process.
Hi! My name is Gina Allen and I am the Sales and Trainer Manager for Cornerstone K9. My husband, Jeff, and I started this company about 4 years ago and it has been an absolute blessing ever since. I was a REALTOR full time and would fill in periodically for sales and trained dogs for Cornerstone K9.
In January of this year (2024), Jeff asked me to fill in temporarily for sales until he found someone new…. well, I’m still here! He decided that I was the best fit for this position and begged me to step back from Real Estate and do this full time. So, I did! Now, we are running Cornerstone K9 together and couldn’t be happier! I truly believe this is how it was meant to be. We work very well as a team and have grown this company into more than we could’ve ever imagined!
We currently have 9 amazing trainers and are adding more each month to try and keep up with the immense growth we are experiencing. A true blessing from God!We are all passionate about dogs and helping to improve their lives with their families.
Whether you’re looking for basic obedience, advanced obedience or need specialized training - please give us a call! I am more than happy to answer any questions you have and will give advice to get you and your pup on the right path!
I recently separated from the Air Force after serving for 10 years. I started my career in the military in 2013 as Security Forces and moved to Mountain Home, ID. From there I pursued my dream of working in the Military Working Dog world and graduated the school in 2015.
I spent my handler career in Colorado Springs, CO at Peterson AFB. Here, I deployed overseas and completed over a dozen POTUS/VPOTUS missions with my dual purpose dogs Roky, Dano, and Ben. My last three years in the Air Force, I dedicated my time to my students as a Ground Combat Readiness Training Course Instructor. Additionally, I specialized as a Military Working Dog Team Trainer.
Throughout this time I took a deep dive into Dog Psychology and Behavior and Learning. Which now helps me better understand how to take on each dog I train with patience and understanding In my free time, I enjoy everything outdoors and anything adventurous. This includes hiking, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, bow hunting, camping, and everything in between. I have 10 animals that includes 3 pet dogs, 1 retired MWD, 1 working dog, 4 cats, a mule and a quarter horse all on big piece of land.
I look forward to training your pup and helping you have the best relationship with them.
Hi! My name is Kaitlin and I grew up in Garner, NC. I own two Pitbulls named Riley and Kane. I have had a passion for animals from a young age.
I started riding and working with horses when I was 11, as well as owning many different pets of my own. After that I started working with dogs and quickly realized I was most passionate about training dogs!
I truly enjoy helping clients and their dogs achieve their goals. It is such a rewarding job to see each dog improve and become the best pups they can be! I look forward to my job each and every day.
What’s going on! I’m Tyler minor, a professional dog trainer and canine specialist through Starmark Academy in 2017. Although I’ve been in the dog industries since 2015, where I started out at a doggy daycare boarding facility. I saw more potential in dogs that led me to a professional dog training school.
I’m on the path to helping owners, and most importantly the DOGS that are in front of me. Helping to strengthen the foundation and relationship between family and furry companions, is my passion. I have a growing family of 2 little boys, my wife, and 6 dogs.
Two of my personal dogs are “Kobe”, my 6 year old mini Aussie who started it all for me, and then “Sicario”, my 2 year old Belgian Malinois who I am competing with in PSA (Protection Sports Association) with!
Hey there, I'm Jenn, and I've dedicated my life to the well-being and happiness of our four-legged friends. Living in Clayton with my husband and our two rescue pups, Blue Bear and Poppy, has only deepened my love for animals.
Growing up surrounded by the beauty of farmland, I developed a profound connection with animals early on. From dogs and cats to rabbits and goats, each creature held a special place in my heart. I found myself drawn to understanding their behavior, often spending hours playing and even trying my hand at training the dogs on our farm.
While my journey started in retail, I quickly realized my true calling lay elsewhere. In 2013, I decided to pursue my passion professionally and became certified in both dog grooming and training through Animal Behavior College. This opened doors for me to volunteer and train dogs at our local ASPCA, where I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of canine behavior.
In 2016, I took the leap and embarked on my career as a full-time dog trainer. It's been an incredibly rewarding journey, filled with wagging tails, furry hugs, and countless "a-ha" moments. Whether it's basic obedience, behavior modification, or specialized training, I offer personalized services tailored to meet the unique needs of every pup and their human.
Every day, I wake up grateful for the opportunity to do what I love. My mission is simple: to foster harmonious relationships between dogs and their families. Through patience, compassion, and positive reinforcement, I aim to empower both pups and their humans to build a bond built on trust, love, and mutual understanding.
Hi! I’m Sierra and I’ve been training pet dogs for just over five years now. I’ve always had a deep love for animals but my interest in dogs and dog psychology really took hold when we adopted my childhood dog, Midnight, a reactive border collie. I knew that there was more happening beneath the surface of her behavior so I dove headfirst into the world of dog psychology and dog training to try to understand and help her. I continued learning about pet dog training and reactivity as a volunteer at shelters but never dreamed that I’d be able to turn that passion into a career!
I have two pups of my own, Iris (American Staffordshire Terrier) who my husband calls perfect princess, and Boone (flea market mutt) who is the most emotional and spunky little man. Iris is an explorer who loves to hike, road trip, swim, and dig trenches. Boone is much more of a home body and would rather spend the day pestering our chickens and patrolling the property for squirrels.
I can’t wait to meet your pups and share my love of dog training with you!
Hey everyone! I’m Khari and I’ve been passionate about dogs pretty much my entire life. I’m originally from Long Island, New York and migrated to the south about 20 years ago where my interest in dogs really took off. At age 12 after spending years of begging for a dog I got my first German Shepherd and the rest was history.
In 2019 Covid ended up being a blessing in disguise as it caused me to rethink my career at the time. I began chasing my passion working with dogs and quickly fell in love with helping others unlock their dog’s full potential. Advanced obedience is probably my favorite part of dog training so I enjoy teaching any dog in front of me how to be sharp and elegant while training.
I have 3 human sons and 3 four-legged sons as well so there is never a dull moment at my house.
I look forward to building new relationships with people and their dogs !
Hello, I’m Erika!I grew up in Raleigh, NC and have always been fascinated with animals! I began my career in the veterinary field but then realized that my true passion lies within the canine mind as opposed to the medical side.
So in 2019 I delved into the world of training by taking a job in dog training. I gained pivotal hands-on experience with pet, personal protection, police and military working dogs. As well as being introduced to the amazing dog sport of PSA (Protection Sports Association).
Since then I've been hooked on improving my knowledge of dog training through seminars, other trainers, traveling to train and personal experience.Every dog owner has a unique bond with their dog, but the relationship you build with your dog through training is something special.
Not only do you learn more about them but you learn how to properly and clearly communicate with them. This reduces stress in the relationship and opens up more room for positive growth and bonding.
My role is to help you and your dog achieve this! Watching this process becoming a reality is my favorite aspect of my job. As the youngest of 5 kids, I understand a busy household and the challenges of having an unclear dog in that environment.
And I enjoy seeing families and dogs build successful relationships. In my spare time you can always find me outdoors!
Whether I'm training sport dogs (PSA - protection sports association or French Ring) or just enjoying nature. As much as I enjoy training dogs, I also love sharing it with owners.
Hello! My name is Kayla. I've been working professionally with dogs since 2010. But I've always been a dog nerd. I emersed myself into the dog world completely when I was 12. That's when I got my first Rottweiler. I had wanted one for 4 years. My Rottie and I competed in AKC conformation and obedience. I was the number 1 JR. Rottweiler handler in the country for 3 consecutive years. I also handled Doberman's and a German Shepherd here and there in the conformation rings. I learned pretty early on that if I wanted to handle large, powerful breeds, I'd have to learn how to gain their trust and respect. I learned how important calm, confident energy is.
All through grade school I continued to compete with my 2 Rottweilers. Breeders would send puppies to me for me to train and socialize for the show ring. I was also very active in the rescue community. I fostered and rehomed dozens of dogs.
My professional career in dogs started in 2010 when I got a job at a doggie daycare. During my 4 years there I learned a ton about dog's body language and how they communicate with each other. I enjoyed watching the conversations between them. But I also saw the anxious ones, the nervous ones and the neurotic ones. Seeing these dogs in that frame of mind made me want to learn more about how to help them. Which meant learning to teach their humans too.
In 2013, I graduated from Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers. Since then I've helped dozens of dogs and their humans understand each other, helped create group play programs at shelters, created programs to teach handling skills to shelter employees and handled narcotic detection dogs.
I share my home with an old, gangster Chihuahua, an American Bully who does therapy work, 2 working explosive detection labs and a mildly insane Malinois. I'm fairly new to North Carolina, but love it so far. I'm excited to share what I've learned and help people and their dogs have a better relationship.

My dog developed some aggressive traits and I sent him off to Megan for a 4 week training course. He came home so much better than before and she was able to teach me all the exercises and tools to set him up for success. It was also extremely helpful because whenever I had a question on things, she was available via text within just an hour or so and we could schedule a phone call if needed.

I am blown away by how clean my house looks. I thought we were going to have to repaint it! We hired Revel Pressure Washing to come in and power wash our house. They explained to us what pressure washing was and were very thorough with the quoting process. I am very pleased with the final outcome!

Jeff and the Cornerstone team are AMAZING, 10 out of 10 would recommend. Cornerstone K9 goes above and beyond and cater to your dog’s specific needs and will make sure you and your dog have all of the tools needed to be successful. Once you have trained with the Cornerstone they continue to be available for questions and will do follow up and refresher sessions if they are needed.

My driveway was a disgusting algae covered eyesore, and frankly it was a safety hazard when it rained. Justin from Revel Pressure Washing got me a reasonable quote, and even convinced me to seal the driveway afterwards. It looks amazing, and with the sealant, I won't have to do this again for years.

SAVED ME A TON OF MONEY!! Revel initially came by to give me a quote on my driveway, but asked to look at the house and gutters as well. Justin found my gutters were completely compacted and causing water to seem into my roof. He took care of everything, and save a potentially expensive insurance claim.
